What is Hygiene Poverty?

Hygiene poverty occurs when people, especially those in poverty or crisis, have to choose between necessities like heating their homes, paying rent, buying food, or staying clean. It can lead to social isolation, lack of confidence, and negative impacts on health and well-being.

How Can You Help?

By donating to The Hygiene Bank Medway, you’re supporting multiple grassroots initiatives across the County. We collect new, unused, in-date personal care and household cleaning essentials, including:

Deodorant
Shower gel
Shampoo
Make-up
Nappies
Toilet roll
Laundry detergent
Surface cleaner
